Orientation classes are recommended for anyone who is new to CrossFit or who has not done any type of ‘Olympic Lifting’ before. More time is spent at the beginning of class learning technique, movements, and safety. This helps familiarize new CrossFitters with the proper lifting technique, understanding the principles of this style of high-intensity workout, and to prevent injury.
The Orientation class is still a complete workout. If nobody is new in the class, the newbie explanations will be skipped and we will jump right into the WOD.
