About

What is CrossFit?

Constantly varied, functional movement, executed at high intensity.

At CrossFit Eglinton we provide a fully integrated approach to fitness. Our coaches are not only trained in performance fitness but also health and wellness. In addition to Strength & Conditioning, Plyometrics, Olympic Lifting and other types of training, our program offers nutrition, body composition protocols, injury prevention/ management, and bio-mechanical movement optimization. Our methodology is to provide the proper understanding and technique for our foundation, functional movements, combine it with high intensity programming, and support it with proper nutrition practices to help build the complete individual.

What is the CrossFit method?

To establish a hierarchy of effort and concern that builds as follows:

  • DIET: lays the molecular foundations for fitness and health
  • METABOLIC CONDITIONING: builds capacity in each metabolic pathways, aerobic and anaerobic
  • GYMNASTICS: establishes functional capacity for body control and range of motion
  • WEIGHTLIFTING & THROWING: develop ability to control external objects and produce power
  • SPORT: applies fitness in competitive atmosphere with more randomized movements and skill mastery
